IA solicitors are committed to provide quality advice to individual clients and business entities


Initial Advice:

Our price for initial advice is £200 that could last between 1-2 hours. Extended session could cost more than set price. It depends upon complexity of the case.

How many supporting documents we have to consider.

If you speak any language other than english then interpreter cost will be charged.

if you are applying multiple applications (dependants)then cost will increase.


Following work will be included in start up advice session:

  • Detailed discussion about your circumstances
  • According to immigration rules, discussion about possible available options 
  • Advice about most appropriate route under immigration rules and regulations
  • Discussion and advice about required supporting documents according to immigration rules.
  • Advice on whether the client fulfilled all the requirements of eligibility criteria.
  • If client does not meet the criteria then how it can be overcome within the limits of immigration rules.


Disbursments

Third party cost is called disbursments. IA Solicitors deals with third party on your behalf to process your application. Third party cost such as visa fee, Interpreter fee, Barrister fee, Experts report.

Visa fee:

Visa fee is paid to Home  office. Home office charges different fee for different applications.

Barrister fee:

we do not require to hire any barrister to file an application in home office. We  require to hire Barristers to represent you in court. We hire Barristers to represent clients in court. Barrister's Fee would depend on their experience. Our priority list Barrister's fee could be between £350-£450 p/h. these type of applications generally consumed 2-5 hours of the Barrister's time.

Interpreter fee:

Usually,Itnerpreter is not required in those application which are processed by IA Solicitors. If you need interpreter then you will be charged separately. It will not be included in our visa fee. You will be charged our fee plus interpreter fee. Usually, Interperetrs charge between £75- £200p/h. (Vat may be charged). Time consumption with interpreter depends on the case complixity. Usually, it takes up to 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Experts Report:  (for example medical reports)

Usually, simple and straight applications do not require any such kind of reports. In some cases, independant experts reports are required. If we require such kind of reports in support of your application then you will be informed as soon as possible.

Home office interview:

if you have interview with authorities and you want us to attend with you. We do provide this service with additional disbuesments in respect of mileage/Travel expenses. 


Immigration application and appeal time consumption:  Our hourly rate £230p/h excluding Vat

Average 6-20 hours are taken to complete all paper work in simple and straight applications. Average cost in these circumstances is £1380-£4600 excluding VAT. 20%. Vat could be charged if applicable.

Above stated cost is an estimated cost. Exact cost will be calculated according to your circumstances and complixity of the case.

Circumstances and complexity of your case:

If your case is straight forward and you provide all required documents in initial meeting then your cost would be at low range.


Work involved in Immigration cases:

  • Discussion about your circumstances and available options. It takes about 1-2 hours.
  • Advice about the most appropriate route to make an application. Advice about immigration rules and their requirements . It takes about 1-2 hours.
  • Dealing with client instructions on eligibility criteria. If client is unable to fulfil requirements then how it can be overcome  1-2 hours
  • Considering your provided supporting documents that can take estimated 2-10 Hours.
  • If you require any documents from third party. we help you to get these documents. For example:  medical report, Bank statement, Document interpertation, Witness statements. 
  • Application prepration and submission on your behalf. which we will anticipate take about 2-8 hours.
  • If you are asked to attend interview by the home office. We provide detailed discussion and advice about the interview and our attendance in interview with you on your request. This could be 1-2 hours.
  • Advice about the outcome of the application and you need to take any further steps or not.
  • Disbursments are not included in above stated estimated cost.

Home Office visa fee is not included in above stated estimated cost.

Estimated number of hours depends on the complexity of the case, number of documents (translation required or not). If any document is missing then how long it will take to find it out.

Application  processing time:

We can not guarantee for Home Office processing time. Home Office is a separate body that deals with application according to their own time scale. IA Solicitors will process your application within 3 -6 weeks after receiving your instructions. If there will be any delay in processing then you would be informed.

Above stated Hours and cost both are estimated. It can be vary according to circumctances and complexity of the case. Once, your actual circumstances and specific case would be infornt of us then we can calculat the exact amount or we may be able to give you a fixed price. 

Who will deal with your case?

Your case will be handeled by the Director of IA Solicitors (Iram Ahmad). She is a qualified Solicitor in England and wales.

Qualification: LLB Punjab University Pakistan

Qualified lawyers transfer test ( QLTT) Oxford

Experience: Post qualified experience more than 5 years in immigration. Like, Asylum, Immigration and Nationality. she has been working in this sector before her registration with SRA ( Solicitors Regulations Authority) as Solicitor.

Cost for employment case: (Free initial advice) 

Our fee: £230 p/h plus vat (VAT 20%)

Cost contribution by employer:

Without Tribunal Hearing:

If you are offered a settlement agreement by your employer and agrees to pay legal cost on your behalf. We guarantee to accept employer's contributed amount towards full legal cost. Without tribunal hearings, settlement agreement takes about  2-3 hours. It may take more than 2-3 hours but it depends upon the circumstances of your case. 

Hourly rate could be more coslty in tribunal cases because it takes longer hours to get outcome. So, we may charge a fixed fee for such case. We may charge fixed fee of 33% of your awarded compensation from your employer.


Our range of cost for Tribunal cases could be %33 of awarded compensation. which could be following:

simple case:                                    £2000-£6000 plus vat at 20%

Medium complxity case:              £6000-£10000 plus vat at 20%

High complexity case:                   £10000-£20000 plus vat at 20%


Factors that could affect the case complexity:

  • If amendments are required in an existing claim or defence
  • defending claims that are brought by litigents in person
  • making and defending an application for legal cost
  • whether the claiment is disabled but parties are not agree
  • large number of documents and witnessess
  • An automatic unfair dismissal where you believe that it happened becasue of pregnancy or whisleblowing
  • Allegations of discrimination 

if you want your employment solicitor to be with you in tribunal then further charges you will have to pay between £600-£1500 per day plus 20% vat 20%.

The fee would be reduced if some of the above stated key stages are not required. You may handle your claim by yourself. we may help you to prepare some of the stages. 

Disbursemsnts:

Third party cost is called disbursemsnts. We help you to deal with third party to process your application smoothly. Such as court fee, councel fee.

If your case progresses to tribunal then we do hire an employment barrister to represent you in tribunal. Cost could be higher with the complexity of the case. Barristers charge per day for appearing in the tribunal and an additional fee for preparing and appearing in final hearing.

Barrister fee for:        £500- £3000 per day plus vat at 20% ( depends on the senority of the barrister)

Travel Expenses:       40p/per mile or train fair whatever is appropriate. Accommodation expenses if required

Legal expense insurance: Insurance can cover all or part of legal expense. Claimant needs to check whether any existing insurance covers legal expenses towards employment case. If there is not any then we need to arrange or discuss other available options.


Time consumption:

Early settement during pre-claim conciliation could end up a claim in 4 -6 weeks. If the tribunal is involved then it could take longer about 3 months to 2 years if lf claim goes to a final hearing.This is an estimated time frame, we can provide accurate time scale with the progress of case.

We have qualified solicitor (Iram Ahmad) with 5 years experience in employment law who will deal with your case in employment tribunal claim against your employer.
